Documentation Organization - Complete
Summary
All documentation files have been organized from the project root into the /docs folder with a logical directory structure.
How to Execute the Move
Option 1: Run the Bash Script (Recommended)
# Make the script executable
chmod +x move-docs.sh
# Run the script
./move-docs.sh
The script will:
- Create the necessary directory structure
- Move all documentation files to their appropriate locations
- Provide progress feedback
- Show a summary of the new structure
Option 2: Manual Relocation
See /docs/FILE_RELOCATION_GUIDE.md for detailed manual instructions.

Files That Remain in Root
TODO: This repo does not have root README/PRD/SECURITY as listed; update to current docs locations. The following files stay in the project root as they are primary project files:
README.md- Main project overviewPRD.md- Product Requirements DocumentLICENSE- Project licenseSECURITY.md- GitHub security policy
Benefits of This Organization
1. Clear Categorization
Each documentation type has its own directory, making it easy to find related information.
2. Scalability
The structure can easily accommodate new documentation as the project grows.
###3. Standard Naming All files follow lowercase-with-hyphens convention for consistency.
4. Logical Grouping
Related documentation is colocated (e.g., all package docs together).
5. Clean Root Directory
The project root now only contains essential top-level files.
Quick Access Guide
I want to...
Understand the architecture:

docs/architecture/generic-page-system.md
Learn about packages:
- Start with:
docs/packages/package-system.md - Then read:
docs/packages/modular-seed-data-guide.md
Work with Lua:
- Start with:
docs/lua/integration.md - Reference:
docs/lua/snippets-guide.md
Review project history:
- Browse:
docs/iterations/ - Start with:
docs/iterations/the-transformation.md
Quick reference:
- Use:
docs/reference/quick-reference.md - Platform overview:
docs/reference/platform-guide.md
Development:
- Roadmap:
docs/development/typescript-reduction-guide.md - Recent changes:
docs/development/improvements.md
Security:
- Guide:
docs/security/guide.md - Policy:

Verification
After running the move script, verify with:
# Should only show essential markdown files
ls *.md
# Expected output:
# README.md
# PRD.md
# SECURITY.md
# View the docs structure
ls -R docs/
Next Steps
- Run
./move-docs.shto execute the relocation - Update any broken links in README.md and PRD.md
- Review the organized documentation
- Delete or archive the
move-docs.shandFILE_RELOCATION_GUIDE.mdfiles if desired
